Matt Lewis, a Georgia native, graduated from The Culinary Institute of America in 1993. Upon graduating, he moved to Atlanta where he learned the trade at places like Bacchanalia, The Four Seasons, Alon’s and EatZi’s Market & Bakery. In 2005 he opened Matty Cakes bakery, to rave reviews. Over the years his bakery won several local awards. Matty Cakes was featured on the food network Chefs vs. City All-stars and Matt appeared as a judge on Throw Down with Bobby flay. Matt is currently a Chef Instructor in the Baking and Pastry department at Le Cordon Bleu, Atlanta.
